Through the Eyes of the Microscope
These are some pictures taken from our microscope of our alevin. You will notice that there is a sack with a little"yoke" in the middle that is providing the food for the current stage of growth. When the sack is all gone, we will have to start feeding them - we will also expect to see the little guys swimming around the tank when the sacks are gone. In these pictures, you can also see the eye, sac with blood flow, the heart, the spine and if you look closely you can see the beginnings of a fin.
