Scientific Inquiry - How Crayfish Molt

This was the scene last Friday when the students arrived to find that a Crayfish had molted.  At first, many thought that one of our pets had died, but the discussion that ensued determined this hypothesis to be false.

Our Fish Tank is Ready

Today we learned how to test the Ph of the water in the fish tank.  Everything looks good!  We have a Ph of 7.8, and that is acceptable for tropical fish.  Maybe by the end of this week, (certainly by Monday) we will have some friendly fish in our aquatic habitat.  Stay tuned!
