Did you see the article about lonesome George? George died last summer ( June 2012) at that
time scientists thought that Lonesome George was the last of his kind, and
since he died the species Chelonoidis
abingdoni, had gone extincted. But they had been mistaken, on Isabelle
island 60 km away from Georges home more of his species were found, as their
DNA was studied.
