grade 5 talent show

On fun day all the students I.V.S went to the gym to watch the talent show.  The teachers probably thought since the grade fives were leaveing for grade 6 they would do a grade 5 talant show.  All the singing was great but DeeDee was really good. There was also dancing, guitars and comedy.  It was a good show.

            On June 14, 2012 Island View School had fun day. There were lots of fun activities that we did. One of my favorite activities was the slippery chicken relay. I liked it because it got harder as we got further along in the race. There were 3 different rounds that we had to do and there were 2 teams. The first one you had to run to a bucket that had water soap and a chicken in it. Then you have to take it out and run back to your team and give it to the next person. If you weren’t the first person then you would have to when you got the chicken run to the bucket dip it into the bucket and run back then you keep doing that until all of your team is done. Then one the 2^nd round you had to run to the bucket get the chicken out and run backwards, then hand it to the next person who had to take the chicken dunk it into the bucket then run backwards hand it to the next person in line. The 3^rd round if you were the first person in line you would have to run to get the chicken pick it up from the bucket and put It between your legs. Then you had to hop back and give it to the next person. Then the next person carries it in their hands to the bucket. Then you have to dunk it and hop with the chicken between your legs. Then you had to give it to the next person then they would keep doing the same thing until it was done and everyone had gone. Then whoever got the most wins won. Both of the teams won one, and the final round was a tie. So our teams tied. That relay game was really fun and I am looking forward to do fun day again next year. :)

Junk in the trunk

On June 14^th we had fun day. We did a event  called junk in the trunk and I broke the record for the school with the time of 3.20 seconds. We had a Kleenex  box that was tied to are waist while we had to shake 10 little golf balls that we had to get out in enough time. Two people would go up at once had who ever had the quickest time. If you lost you could still go again. Then we moved on to the next event.

Fun Day

On June 14 the whole entire Island View School went to Fun Day. There were a bunch of stations and my favorite one was the one with the obstacle courses and there was a bunch of different stations, in that one station so you could choose when you want to go to each one. I Loved It! The first one I went to was the ladder on the floor so there was a latter on the floor and you have to jump through it but you had to put one foot in and one foot out of the ladder and they time you. The other two are you had to stand on a mat and you would get two golf balls and you throw them so that, they land on the red mat and you win a prize. The last one is you go across the balance bean on a flimsy water noodle then you go on wood it is so fun. Well it is Fun Day!

On Thursday we had Fun day, I am doing my part the fun day blog post on Sack races. We went to the sack races after Junk in the Trunk. The sack races are where you get in a sack and hop to the pylon and then race back. It is hard because you can fall. We raced for a while in different sacks and had a lot of fun. That was a fun day at I.V.S. :0)

Marigolds and Field Trip!

Thursday we will be planting our class marigolds, and Monday we will be going to the museum and bowling.  I can't wait!  Let me know if you have any questions.
