  1. I think that this article was very brief, and I like it that way. I would like to save the full story of how the torch survived the relay (after going out several times) for the actual olympics!

I think that the torch going out so many times could make some people think that Sochi is not fit to host the olympics, that they are impending that the olympics are not good for them. But then again, some people have very good judgement... ;)

  2. I understand how it can be hard lighting and handling the torch because of the cold harsh climate in russia. I dont think it should be in russia because it has gone out 44 times, and its hard to get the right kind of fire and the right person.

  4. I think it would be cool to hold the torch. It would be better to be in the Olympics. if I made it into the winter Olympics I would want to be in snowboarding. I've even saw an Olympic meddle. From Christopher

  5. I think that it was cool how they brought the torch up to space. I live in a cold place so it must be hard for the torch to keep on burning.

  6. I think a lot of people will not be happy if the torch goes out at the Olympics. I really think the climate is to cold for the Olympic Torch. I bet it will go out about 20 more times. If it goes out nobody will want the Olympics there again. I sure don't want it there now.
    Sincerely,
    Donna

  7. I found this article very interesting because of the flame getting past to Russia from Vancouver that is really cool I never thought that there was a flame in the winter Olympics and I also know why the flame goes out so fast because Russia is very cold in the winter.

  8. This blog post has some great information on the Olympic torch and how the athletes pass it on. I never really knew that they did that in the Olympics.

I am not the greatest athlete in the world, but I do swim, run, bike, ski, and so on. I probably won't ever make it in the Olympics, but I will never give up on what I do for exercise (and fun).

  9. Hi I read your blog post and I now know alot about the Olympics torch. I bet you it will go out of flame about 34 times or more.

Really the climate is to cold so the flame will go out or Russai just should look at the weather for then.

  10. I loved that post! I think the Olympic torch this year is going to go out because it is a very cold there and there could be a snow storm. And blow out all the back up torches and the torch. But if it goes out they will have to go back to Greece and light a new torch.

I also think that someone will light it back with a lighter and think they saved the day and terns out they will be in jail for as long the Olympics go on. And they would go on for like five more days.

  11. Hi I seen this website and it caught my eye when I was scrolling down. It looked very interesting so I'm going check it out. The flame has been going out I hear and I was wondering if there was any different type of flames each year and they do it in some places that are windy and they have a hard time keeping the flame from loosing its fire and I know what it is like.

so I can not wait to check it out,

  12. it was a little weird when the flame went on the guys jacket while he was practicing but when the assistant came to see if any thing happened he patted he jacket and the guy didn't get hurt from the fire on his jacket I was so happy that he didn't get hurt like burnt. I' m pretty sure that the climate was like a little windy and it blew and hit the jacket and it caught on fire?
these are inferences that I make from the atrial.
